J.Crew Updates Homepage for the Obamas

J.Crew updated its homepage today to acknowledge the pieces they created for Malia and Sasha Obama.  The image above reads as follows.

We are TRULY HONORED to have been able to play a part in this HISTORIC OCCASION. The pieces worn by MALIA AND SASHA were designed exclusively for them–from the COLORS to the STYLES to the FABRICS–and are currently unavailable.

But you can shop our entire crewcuts collection or find a crewcuts store near you.

An email to J.Crew also yielded the following response.

Thank you for taking the time to write. Unfortunately, we can’t comment on any details of Michelle, Sasha or Malia Obama’s attire until later this week, however we can say we are excited about the attention this has been getting.  Some of the styles are definitely a sneak peek at what our fall 2009 collection will include. Thanks again for reaching out.

I hope they do, too! With the amount of press J.Crew has received, I am sure they will make the coats for the general public to purchase. Everyone has been googling for the coats.
