There are just 10 shirts offered on ebay out of the THOUSANDS of shirts Jcrew manufactured so it’s not really a big deal. AND the ebay resellers markup(mostly due to ebay/paypal fees) is significantly smaller than the JCrew markup.. it doesn’t cost them $70 to make that shirt so you should actually be complaining about that. It’s more relevant.

Also, when people buy “sold-out” items to re-sell on ebay they’re selling to people who want it even though it sold out and aren’t worried about the price anyway or international buyers who cant get it at all. It’s not marketed towards people on a tight budget so you should just ignore it Leila.

The zebra tee is super cute. I did a “we’ll find it” search as well by calling the 1-800-562-0258 number, and was able to locate my size very quickly. Thank goodness I went that route, I looked on ebay and these ridiculous gougers wanted $100+ plus for them!! Buying something from a retailer to sell on ebay by marking it up OVER the retail price…wow. Congrats to their greediness. Not many of them have bids on ebay though, which made me feel better. Only the auctions for $60 or less were selling. (I’m assuming these are the people who bought, changed their minds, and for some reason cannot do a return.)
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know to go and do the “we’ll find it” thing, before the big bad ebay resellers snatch them up and you miss out!

Hi Leigh-

The colors were actually heather and slate. I called back today and asked them to do the “find it” in the slate. I think the picture looks more like the Jcrew slate color rather than their heather grays. I received an email saying they found it, so fingers crossed its the right color! I also ordered it in a small because I read your review that it ran on the smaller side. I was shocked to hear it was made in two grays because I have only ever seen one.

Hi Summer, I didn’t realize that the zebra tee came in two colors of gray. How odd that J.Crew would do that. I wonder what the difference between charcoal and heather is. I am sorry but I do not know which color is the posted in the picture.

I am in love with the beaded Zebra tee in gray. I called Jcrew to do a “find it” today, in a size small but just received an email that they couldn’t locate it. If anyone sees this in their local store please let me know!! Thanks. Also the sales rep told me it came in orange and two shades of gray but I have one seen one gray color. She said charcoal and heather, I believe she searched for the heather. Do you know which color is the one posted in the picture?
