Free Shipping Printed on J.Crew Catalog

My boyfriend recently signed up for a J.Crew card. His shopping at J.Crew had been limited to what I buy for him. But we were in the store in August and I convinced him it would be worth it to get the points for the shopping that he does do there, plus the additional 10% off what he purchased that day. (The sale section was an additional 40% off and he got another 10% off for opening up a card.)

I came home today from work and found the current J.Crew catalog in our mailbox. It was much thinner than the one that I picked up in the stores.  The men’s section was missing, which I found odd since it was addressed to my boyfriend.  Surely, they didn’t just want him to look at the women’s clothes.

Another thing I found odd was the free shipping advertisement printed on the front cover. In all my years of shopping at J.Crew, I have never erriceved a catlog with this on it.  I opened it up to find a little attachment that read, “Enjoy complimentary shipping on your next purchase of $150 or more at J.Crew.com.”

Have you ever received a catalog like this?  Does this surprise you?

I used to get these many years???? 4-5 years ago. Haven’t gotten one recently..

I received 2 catalogs in the mail yesterday:
    1) 125 pgs, no coupon
    2) 71 pgs, coupon (same as yours)

The 1st cat. was in my web ordering name, & the 2nd cat. was in the name for phone orders (which I just started doing the past few weeks).

Can’t say I’ll use it as I have started hanging out the B&M more since I can get better prices there (even though I have to drive up the road a bit).

I agree with Ann - I got these years ago, but not for ages

I think JCrew should always offer free shipping anytime someone spends $150 or more. I know I would probably buy more if they did. Are you listening, JC?

Yes, I have noticed their shipping prices are very high and they don’t pack as nice as they used to….I got my Astrid jacket and it was folded in half with a piece of cardboard inbetween….really not very nice for the high price of shipping….they are making big bucks on their shipping fees. There was a report out that I read not long ago and they make a fortune off of us/their high shipping….

Ann, do you recall where you read that report? I would love to read it and review it for this blog.

I received both catalogs and no coupon on either one:(

Hi Karin, I am sorry to hear that, but I do have a current free shipping code that should work. Click on the left on the “Free Shipping” category.

    I hope that helps!
