Fontaine dress, $650.00, Item 96056

How gorgeous is this short version of the Fontaine wedding gown?!? The dress is beautiful and perfect for any Fall party. It’s even great for this holiday season. I know, that’s thinking too far ahead. But I always am thinking about special events when I see beautiful dresses.

The dress also comes in a light brown color. Scoop it up before it is SOLD OUT!

Love the short version! I have to get the beautiful forest green, and wear it for my wedding reception next year, after the ceremony in the Gracie gown of course…but I looked on line yesterday and today, didn’t see it. Did you find them from J.Crew website??
Thanks, Leigh, for sharing them :)

Tian, you should definitely get in the green to wear at your wedding reception! The dress is gorgeous and that’s a perfect occasion. I linked to the dress under the photo. I hope you are able to get your size before it is sold out!

Hi Leigh! Sorry about the super late response. And how nice of you to send me an email just to reach out :) Yes I did call special occasions the day after I saw the picture here! At first even they didn’t know which dress I was talking about, I guess it was the first time the special occasion lady became aware of it, too. Then she found it in their system and helped me order a size 2 in green. But after I saw your post about trying on the Fontaine gown and suggesting one size up, I called them and changed to size 4. It’s a pre-order, so I shouldn’t expect it any time soon. By the way, I hate the fact they still don’t offer international shipping widely, not even after I talked to special occasion about this dress being such a special item… I’m not in a hurry or anything, I’m just fed up with having to use a US-based shipping company to receive the packages on my behalf and then deliver to me overseas, too much hassle and time wasted. By the way, in case you are wondering – I’m living in Singapore. I thought about quitting J.Crew when I moved here, but I just couldn’t. Maybe you can imagine how their upgrade disaster affected me – I think more than anyone else they are driving me crazy, because I stay overseas and it’s much harder for me to straighten things out when they go wrong. This is just too much stress for something as easy as online shopping, and I started getting some annoying pimples and I know it’s not work-related. Ridiculous, right? Anyway, I hope I will get this dress, just think it’s one of a kind. Sorry about the really long post, lol. Look forward to your picture of the Fontaine gown!
