J.Crew Carries Mongolian Lamb Accessories

J.Crew’s newest arrivals have hit the stores and the website. You can view the latest catalog here.

While browsing the newest items this weekend, I came across items made from Mongolian Lamb. J.Crew describes them as “Mongolian lamb that’s been finished at a famed French mill (it’s incredibly soft and cozy with an amazing texture).”

I’m not sure that I will be sporting any of the three items anytime soon. What are your thoughts on the tote and vests?

The vest is gorgeous and an investment piece, mainly the black one. The purses are another story. Looks like they used the left over scraps from the vests.

FYI, lambs are not slaugthered for this, it is fur that is sheared off. Now, a lambskin bag is another story… Also, check out ELLE magazines pick of this vest as a must have piece…

all i can say is that as for the vest, the only inventory left online is (1) extra small in the champagne and a few small in the black. so, they are selling. being perfectly honest, i have seen the black IRL and it is actually very luxurious and well-made. if paired wth the right ensemble, i think it would actually look quite chic. last season, alive + olivia made a similar one in black, same price point, and they sold out as well.

The black vest reminds me of Rachel Zoe selecting this type of vest for a magazine shoot on the Rachel Zoe project.

Sorry haters….Got the small purse and love it!!! It gives my boring, black work attire a little funk. It also works glam magic with my military pieces. I think the VESTS are too trendy-Besides, I'd rather be carrying a bichon, then look like one.
