My Fall Catalog Is Here!
The J.Crew Fall 2008 catalog arrived in my mailbox today. It was such a pleasant surprise to be able to leaf through the pages and see all the new items before their arrival onto the website.
I immediately got the post-it notes to mark the pages of items that I want to order. I am always particularly interested in the J.Crew Collection items. I usually order many of them, but this time, there were only 2 items that really caught my eye.
Because I know that the Collection items are limited edition and do tend to sell out, I quickly got on the phone to call the catalog. After waiting 21 minutes to talk to a customer service representative, I was dismayed to find that these items can not yet be ordered as they have not updated their inventory to allow for purchase.
The news was quite disappointing. I was simply told to call back in a few days when the items may be available to order. I don’t understand why J.Crew customers are already receiving the catalog if they can not purchase items from it. Seems like quite the tease.
