I just bought the Pixie pant from the J Crew outlet on clearance for a mere $15! A STEAL! I bought a size 2 initially since that is my size but they were too tight. I went back and bought 2 sizes up to a size 6 and they fit beautifully (Im 5'4 at 119lbs with slender build). In fact the sales assistant at the store said the fit of these pants are a little different than their regular pants and therefore most ppl are buying 1 or 2 sizes up. I love the jodhpur detail and the zip in the back. Very classy! Can be worn casually and formally.

The Pixie Pant just came this morning via UPS. I was so excited to receive the package. I tried them on and I'm absolutely keeping them. What a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. These look so feminine. The price is high, but they aren't just leggings. They are thicker, so they have a 'fabric bend' that gives it some substance. Leggings just aren't flattering. The Pixie Pant also has great detail. What makes fasion great or a dud is the detail. This pant has it. I am tall, 5'11" thin and have a straight figure. I do believe that not everyone will feel comfortable wearing the pants. But, try a pair on - you might be pleasantly surprised.

I was leery about the pixie pants at first. I have been incredibly resistant to the legging trend, as I am 5'9" with an athletic build. I, too, was convinced the look was only for women with no curves. However, the pixie pants are quite slimming -- at least in black (I was not pleased with how the gray looked on me). The length is great -- if you're tall. I often have trouble with the length of J. Crew pants if they don't come in tall, but these work well. I think they could be easily hemmed if necessary. Overall, good look with a longer cardigan or the merino pullover.

I've been eyeing these pants since they were first listed as jersey knit pants. My favorite sales rep at my local Jcrew notified me when they came in. I am 5'4 and wear a size 6 pant at Jcrew. When reading everyone else's comments about the sizing being cut a little small, I was unsure whether I'd be able to fit into them. However, when I tried them on they were the perfect fit! Unlike the model on the website, my pants were longer (covering my ankles) but I just fell in love with them and bought them anyway. The only complaint I have is the very top of the pant, they attempted to do some weird tucking so they didn't have to put belt loops, but the tuck underneath the top portion of the pants makes it look a little bumpy. I find that pulling the pants slightly higher than normal eliminates this problem, but its still kinda annoying. Also, I thought i'd for sure look really fat in these pants, (large bottom area), but I found them to be surprisingly slimming.

I love JCrew, but some of their items (all of their items, really) are so overpriced for what they are. I'll stick with my $9 zara leggings, thank you very much.

The pixie pants are intriguing, because leggings are a trend I haven't been able to shake... I find it hard to cough up that kind of cash for what looks like black leggings though.

ladies - let's consider age appropriate here please - and the age old adage "if you wore them the first time round - skip it the second time".

I never thought I would see leggings at J.Crew. I don't really know how to feel about either one of them. I think if the Pixie Pant were a little looser fitting it would be more appealing to me.

Girls, please they're both awful; a dated look and definitely for a specific type of figure, young and thin with no shape. I am a thin but a curvy size 4 or 6 and I wouldn't dare wear a pair. Too disco, retro and slightly reminiscent of the bad fashion that we saw on Madonna and Cindi Lauper. Fashion forward J.Crew!
