I sure will! I think I would have to do it with pants instead of a skirt…

Actually, I’m kinda diggin’ the solid knee-highs. Maybe I’ll give them a go…
September 1st, 2009 - 1:21 pm
the last 2 are kinda cute…
September 1st, 2009 - 2:03 pm
oh hell no!
September 1st, 2009 - 2:12 pm
I don’t think I’ll have enough guts to pull off that kind of look myself, but I like the 1st and 4th styling. I go to college, and I don’t think I would have any place to go like that… which is SAD! At least at my university…

bwa ha ha ha ha…no way!
September 1st, 2009 - 4:19 pm
that was the one thing i sort of loathed about the newest catalog. colored socks with booties?! no thank you!!
September 1st, 2009 - 4:21 pm
Meh, not for me. I’m short & curvy w/athletic calves, so ankle socks to that spot on the leg would make me look majorly frumpy. I could do the thigh-highs, but pretty much I’m sticking to the tights & leggings this year.

I love the look. Cute, stylish, and different then last season!
September 1st, 2009 - 5:46 pm
Mmm, not too fond of the socks with heels. Admittedly though, I think it’s just because I cannot pull it off.
September 1st, 2009 - 6:25 pm
Are you kidding me…very few people can pull off this look. Heidi Klum? A little silly for any age!

The last one reminds me of what the character Serena wore on Gossip Girl…as in this picture: http://images.teamsugar.com/files/users/0/3987/49_2007/49607.jpg
I love the style, but it’s too preppy and school-girlish in my opinion. There are some J Crew styles that only belong in the catalog, and this is one of them. Interesting to see, but hard to pull-off in reality.

i saw these and i love the way that they look. but i am not sure if i could pull it off. i might try the thigh highs.

Proabably not.

They are so particularly a “JCrew catalog” look that if I were to go out like that, I couldn’t help feel like I was desperately trying to copy one their models to a tee.
September 2nd, 2009 - 10:22 am
no. i heart J Crew but this time, just no!
September 2nd, 2009 - 10:51 am
I think it’s darling!

I will to go out to dinner or on weekend. Or if I had to be in the office on a Friday (casual day), I would wear them. They add some sass to the outfit. I would wear thigh highs to dinner with a short black dress, pearls. Very cute and they make legs look skinny!

Girls, have we nothing better to do than to blog and blog and blog about “socks”? Are we pathetic or what…
September 3rd, 2009 - 7:19 pm
I actually love the whole sock thing! I was in London last year and the Burberry has a display with them and so did the Armani store. Not only does it look good but it is so much more comfortable to wear any shoes with socks. Give it try! I will be wearing them all season long!
September 4th, 2009 - 1:00 pm
They’re risky, but I like them — particularly with the ankle boots and t-strap heels. But, in gray or black only. Say no to neon!
September 4th, 2009 - 6:40 pm
My ankles are athletic, so no. Only a slim ankle looks amazing with the socks. I want to elongate my legs, not cut them off at the ankle. I will wear the socks with regular boots and sneakers, under the pant line this winter.

While they do look adorable on these thin young models, at 56, I’m afraid I’d look a bit pathetic. I go for a more classic look (boring but safe). Oh well.

Not I!

if you are young and chic, then of course…this trend has been around for several years but has still been slow to catch on in middle america….granted if you are older, or dont have the body type, then i can see your point…but if not and it looks good, then why the hell not! and by the way, the neon is the best part!
