A few weeks ago, I was shopping at my local store during the private sale. I told my personal shopper about my desperate attempts to locate the “The Elusive Ringspun Chiffon Graphic Rose Tee.” This is when he told me about the grand opening of the new Collection store in New York and how they would have this rose tee fully stocked in all sizes!
I was so excited to hear the news. This meant that I wouldn’t have to convince myself to pay for one on eBay, which was my next option.
Well, the rose tee finally arrived earlier this week. I was so excited to open this package. Now, I have had J.Crew send me items from other stores before. Most of the times, the items are just thrown into a box and sent to me. This rose tee was so carefully wrapped in a white box. The receipt was even neatly tucked away into an envelope. I took a picture of the whole ensemble. It is pictured above.
For those who are still searching for this tee, here are some I found on eBay this morning. Good luck!

You should have posted the info that they had all those tee sizes when you found out. Would’ve been helpful . . .

Some members of the blog told me that they were sold out. And I never actually called and ordered this tee over the phone. My personal shopper said he would take care of it. He also told me not to get my hopes up. So I didn’t. I shared this info with some of my readers who personally wrote me for help with this tee. But we all knew it could be a shot in the dark. I am even surprised that this came in the mail for me.
I am sorry if you are upset about this tee. I do try to update this blog as often as I can.

Oh, I’m not upset. Lol. Just that it would’ve bee nice if we were given the heads up that this tee was available at the Collection store sice I live basically right next to it.

I saw this tee on the SA at my J. Crew last week and I loved it. It looks great on, the rose in chiffon is very pretty. I wish I could have found it, unfortunately every store I’ve tried has been sold out. The scalpers on ebay are wanting triple the price.

Congrats on getting this tee Leigh….it is super cute and will make a great addition to your wardrobe for this fall!! I’m a little jealous–it has been extremely difficult to find. I saw it on a lady in a doctor’s office and she looked really cute in it. She had it paired with JCrew Trouser jeans, pointy toed black boots and a black wool blazer..it looked adorable!

Congrats! It is a great tee. Every time I wear mine I gets tons of compliments. Enjoy it.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I was at my local J.Crew store today and saw 2 people with this tee on! The store manager was wearing it and so was another customer. In such a small space, I was so surprised to see two of the shirts together! I can’t wait to wear mine to work this week.

No way will I be paying $200 for the tee on eBay. Besides, it’s not even for me (duh).

Sorry but I agree with Jen….the frayed edges just don’t look nice to me….But glad we don’t like all the same things…otherwise, everything would be sold out….I don’t wear graphic tees of any kind anyway…

Leigh, I am sooooo jealous! - in a good way, that is
Like Jeff, I desperately want want but I am refusing to pay $150 for it. It’s simply against my principal! If I can’t find one for the original price, it obviously isn’t for me so I guess I will just have to make do without.
Just curious though, I know you’re very petite and I believe you normally wear a XS right? But I see you got the Small. How does the Small fit? Do you think that you could have worn the size XS comfortably? The reason I ask is because I am interested in buying the C’est la Vie Tee. Same fabric and design but they only have size Small. I normally wear a small in everything but didn’t know if I needed to size up. I would love to hear your thoughts on the size and fit.
Thanks Leigh!

Karen - here is my input on size, I think these tees run small. I have both the rose tee and the C’est la vie. These tees are made from a different fabric than the other ringspun. I found mine to run especially small in the shoulder area. I sized up in both. Hope that helps.

Karen, like Kate said, the tees do run small.
I have noticed that many of their tissue tees and graphic tees runs small. I always get a size small if I buy them.
The S gives me enough room in the body whereas I find the XS to be too clingy. I hope that helps you!

I can wear a xsmall or small in this one. I think every different graphic tee-even when they are ALL ringspun has had a different fit. I have bought xs,sm and even a med once which I never do. The Rose tee though I could do xsmall and small–one was just more fitted. Either fit in the shoulders (mine are broad)–just prefernce
