Forgot to add on the C. F. Astrid
item#99457
Even though it says Nov. 6 on website I was told this is just a tentative date…nothing set in stone. CS rep (super nice) put me on hold to do some checking on the date but no new info. The jacket is wool/nylon and the flowers are silk. It comes in sizes 0–14 and has a silk lining.

Great stuff, I can’t wait to see everything. I am so in love with the graphic tees under the cardigan look.

Rae, I think the new Astrid is really pretty, too.
Kate, I agree with you about putting graphic tees under cardigans. The look is so casual, yet put together at the same time.
I am getting super excited about the holiday arrivals.

I love the flower Astrid jacket -so girly. I didn’t know they will have black. If I am a size 6, do you think I should stick to that size or go up?

Hi everyone, Thx for info about the Astrid jkt- really pretty - dumb me found the info on the site finally about where to preorder these things after I posted somewhere yesterday asking - sorry!. Pity the graphic tee is a Mens but I am sure they will have more. I have been wearing all mine under my cashmere cardigans Kate and agree they look great. The tees with a taffeta skirt - I have the sketchbook roses, taffeta A line in the brown color as well as sapphire parlor skirt from last year with various of the graphic tees look nice and often get compliments. I like the silk skirt (above) and might get it. Anyway, if you are a dress and skirt girl you might like this look. You can pair with different cashmere Ts or dress up with a jacket.
Does anyone know the price of the Lacquered Crackle Jacket? Is it one of the insane $3000 pieces - or lower - can’t really see detail yet as it is preorder only - but I am interested in it….I am hanging on to the Black Houndstooth Clea that I bought at full price and plan to return as too big and not sure what to get instead…OK well thanks for the info. Oh and BTW I had a nice silk flower brooch in cream - a rose - that was not D & D, I’ve had it for about 5 years and took it off the jacket it came on when it went out of style - that I pinned on my Royal Violet Tulip Coat (as well as on an Ink Blue Anthropologie Corduroy Coat that is beautiful) - people have stopped me everywhere asking me where I got it - so I think it is more the look than the cost of the brooch that counts….anyway, just my two cents (as usual….:)

oops I meant you can pair the skirts with the Ts and different cashmere ‘cardigans’. sorry

Yasmine, If you are busty or have broad shoulders size up. If you are not, stick with your regular size. I am NOT busty but I have broad shoulders and the shoulder measurement was just a tad smaller than the normal shoulder measuremnt for JCrew jackets in my size.
Also, last years Mandy boucle which I own said to size up on the website last year and I did and it fit great.

I think the black would just be gorgeous!
November 2nd, 2008 - 3:24 pm
P.S. Also sizing depends on how you like your jackets to fit….I don’t like super fitted jackets…i.e. it looks to tight in the arms on the model to me:)
November 2nd, 2008 - 3:41 pm
Thanks, Ann. I am not busty but do have broad shoulders. I tried on the black boucle jacket in the stores (white is now on sale but black and yellow not) and I was fine with the size 6. However, this one looks more fitted and I think I will wear something thin under it… So I think I will order the size 6. It is pricey but so pretty.

Aasha - I have the sketchbook roses skirt coming to me this week. I am so excited. I can’t wait to wear it with my dark grey “Dance Etiquette” tee. Today I am wearing the beaded “C’est La vie” with just jeans and it is so cute w/out losing the comfy factor. I can’t wait to see what new ones they come up with.

Hey everyone! I am glad that everyone is as excited about the new arrivals as I am. I have updated the entry with the item number and prices.

Kate - you’ll love the skirt and it will look great with the Dance Etiquette tee, also with the Cest la Vie one :). I was wearing my grey tee with the silver crest graphic with jeans today (when I bought a coat, skirt and pants in Anthropologie..$$$..oops:) and agree they really look cute. And Leigh thanks for the prices.
