For a brunette, a dark redhead, anyone with high coloring, the mustard color would have been perfect. For a very fair-skinned, blue-eyed blonde, it was all wrong. Blondes, contrary to popular belief (including their own, I've found), can't wear yellow. I was disappointed that the coat wasn't offered in one or two other colors. Then again, for the opera and other evening formal events, I prefer a long, sweeping cloak or coat. How about it, J Crew? I personally, couldn't be happier. As a 23 year old college student I find myself wanting to look more adult and professional, but still being interesting and fun. I suppose if this were an item I just HAD to have I'd have foregone my spring tees & cardis and such. (As if I had the discipline to do THAT! LOL!) I'm definitely in the minority here, I think, but I personally am jonesing for the Winnie coat in the bright yellow. And it's not even "my" yellow (which would be more buttery). I've got arms like a gorilla and the sleeves hit me perfectly on this jacket.
