J.Crew Resort Collection Now Online

J.Crew’s Resort Collection is now available to view online. Seeing this collection really makes me wish that I was going away this winter like I did last winter.

This time, last year, I went to Key West with some of my girlfriends.  It was a week of great fun in the sun where I wore my Sanur dress almost everyday.

Sanur dress, $68.00, Item 91099

The Sanur dress really is as extremely versatile as it described on the website. It can be worn as a tube dress so that it hits mid-calf, as a foldover tube dress so that it hits at the knees, or as a foldover skirt.  I purchased this dress in the sky blue and black colors and wore both many times during the trip.

Because of the lightweight jersey material, the dress moves very easily. It also does not cling so it can be worn in warm climates easily. I love that this dress does not really wrinkle. I just rolled it up in my suitcase and I was good to go.

I love this dress also. I bought it in black and could have kicked myself for not buying it in other colors. I am so happy to see it is back and will have to get it in the chocolate brown and navy. I love the white belt with it.

A little off topic, but wanted to share that the January issue of W Magazine has a full page article about J Crew’s bridal line, and they mention opening a store in NYC specifically for the bridal line. Check it out! :)

    That dress looks great!

I am thinking about the J. Crew bridal line for my upcoming wedding so thanks to the above commenter for the info! I subscribe to W but haven’t received my issue yet :-)

I was one of the lucky ones who actually got the Sanur on sale back in the summer. I love mine – in black and (hot) pink. ‘Not going to give into the resort collection just yet – too much winter stuff still to get! ;)

  6. Love the sanur dress. Does it come with the white floral belt?
I can totally picture this as a bridesmaid dress for a summer wedding. Cute.

Don’t know if you are still looking for the Storybook Charm bracelet for your sister (since I saw you are thinking about keeping the one you finally found after much searching) :)

So, here’s a post from the other JCrew blog from a poster. It just went up, so maybe you can call the store first thing tomorrow morning and it will still be there?

Just wanted to let anyone who’s interested know that I was at the Westfarms store today (CT) and they had the elusive Storybook Charm Bracelet. I believe there was only 1, and it looked like a return from an online order to me because it had a big white tag on it like you’d find on an item of clothing, instead of one of those little gold tags with the thread. It was placed upside down so I couldn’t see what the price was, unfortunately. I wish this bracelet was not resin links, but a metal so it would make it stand out more. I feel bad even thinking about buying a resin (plastic) charm bracelet for that much money! PS – why do they always flip the jewelry price tags down so you can’t see what the price is?! That kinda frustrates me sometimes….

Does anyone else have a huge problem with pilling with J.Crew cashmere sweaters? I’ve bought a few this year (due to the amazing sales), but it seems that they pill more than usual. my black cardigan looks awful! any advice/thoughts?

  9. Is there anyone who knows someone at J. Crew who would be very knowledgeable about their products?

I want the hand painted Jack Purcell shoes…I saw a picture of them online one day, but you couldn’t order them. The next day the picture was gone. I asked my PS and she just said that they were sold out. (I check the site daily)

Other products that they have said this about have obviously come back. But anyone I ask about these shoes, they don’t even know what I’m talking about.?! No one has ever heard of these shoes.

The collection store had the cascading flower jacket weeks before everyone else and they sold out of them quickly before online even got their shipment.

Also, the collection store had lots of the flower pins when they had supposedly been sold out everywhere for weeks.

Also, there was a cashmere scarf I wanted and ordered and then got a call that the item was sold out… and then when I called back to do a find it for me, they couldn’t find any record of the scarf ever existing! Well a couple weeks later, I went to the collection store and they had six!

So all I’m saying is that I think a lot of us J.CrewAholics know more about their products then most of the CSR’s…

I did call the collection store to see if they had, have or will get the shoes and all I got was the “we have a limited quantity of items, we are a small store, and don’t get many things…” Well I would think that a 200 dollar pair of sneakers would be one item they did get! They’re not going to be sold anywhere else! And the annoying thing is that I’m pretty positive that the picture online said they were sold in select stores.

So if anyone knows anyone at J.Crew that can track down things, or actually KNOWS about their products, I would greatly appreciate help!

And J.Crew if you’re listening, this is so frustrating to have to go through to track an item down… And I am trying to track it down, because as previously stated, you’ve told me many times things were not available and then I could find it!

(By the way they are the cutest pink hand painted sneakers ever. Would go with all of my bright papaya, bright fuschia, bright rhubarb stuff… :( )

Leigh – I read your review of this dress and immediately added it to my bag in chocolate during the last “MERRY” promo online … can’t wait! I’m always excited to get a super-versatile piece that’s easy to travel with!

My bridesmaids have ordered J crew dresses in deep atlantic. out of 7, 1 was told they couldn’t fulfill the order because they have run out of fabric. I don’t know what to do. I’m looking on Ebay and stuff, but if anyone knows anyone who has a short sophia silk dress in deep atlantic and is looking to sell, please let me know.
    TIA

Hi there. Does anyone know if the Sanur Dress is available for purchase anywhere? I’ve tried searching the website and e-bay, but nothing comes up. I have it in navy blue but have worn it so many times this past year it’s getting embarrassing…
