J.Crew Updates Website for New Arrivals

Posted by Sivouthy Lam on Jan 5, 2009 in New Arrivals |

J.Crew updated its website this morning to show a new homepage, showcasing the New Arrivals.  The colors are so vibrant and fun. I really love the new pictures of the Collection items on this page. I am not sure if the sale section has been updated, but will definitely have to take a look.

Does your local store already have the New Arriavls out? Have you already tried on some fun items? If so, please share!

And don’t forget about this week’s January Giveaway.

It’s exciting to see that they have new arrivals online at least! I feel like the stores haven’t changed a bit in weeks, and tons of the product is shifting over to sale, too. I hope the stores start filling up again!

Some of the pieces are nice, but as a petite girl, I always look for what J.Crew has in terms of petite sizes. It looks like there aren’t any skirts. At all. Unlike its competition, J.Crew is decreasing their petite availability, while places like Ann Taylor and Banana Republic are INCREASING IT (J.Crew also doesn’t have 00, but that’s another story). This is NOT a good thing!

bleh….. It just isn’t very exciting. No knock-outs… yet.

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE the colors. I am blonde, so I tend to gravitate toward the pastels. :) I was at the Rockefeller Center store on Saturday, and they had some items that I haven’t seen on the website yet. I agree though that nothing is that blockbuster yet. I’m waiting to see the really cool stuff!

p.s. what’s up with the confetti flapper dress? either poor styling, or the model gained 20 pounds!

I’m excited for the thought of warm weather in a few months :)

I’m not the biggest fan of the pastels, but I do like mixing neutrals (tans, champagnes, browns) with the brighter splash of color. I’ve been really drawn to J Crew’s reds and pinks as of late.
