Heavy-wool piqué Felicia coat, $285.00, Item 95841
A few weeks ago, I asked in this post if bright rhubarb was pink or red. Well today, I learned that bright rhubarb is a bright pink color.
I was at the J.Crew store and happened upon the heavy-wool piqué Felicia coat in the bright rhubarb color. It’s a gorgeous and fun color. Maybe, not too versatile, but definitely a great statement piece for the season.
I tried the coat on and it fits true to size. This coat is great for the petite and short J.Crew shoppers (like me). It hits about mid-thigh, and not knee-length like most of the other coats. The lining is very clean and simple. There’s just a blue stripe going across the center. I love the back, with the inverted pleat detailing.
This coat will probably sell out in the black and white, before the bright rhubarb so I am willing to wait.

You totally read my mind with this post! I was looking at this same coat in the B&M today and thought it was cute coat. I love the detail in the back of the coat, but I agree with you that waiting is probably best for now.

Rae & Heather, what are your thoughts on the color? What about the fit?
I love this coat because it is not too overwhelming and was thinking I should pick it up during my personal shopper appointment.

Like Heather, I think the color is beautiful and is a stand-out, but not too bright that you’ll feel like someone wearing a neon bikini in the middle of January. What I DO regret is not trying it on. =( I shall this weekend when I make yet another trip to a B&M! I’ll definitely let you know, Leigh!

This coat in bright rhubarb, as well as the Tulip coat in violet really stood out to me in-store. They are both so beautiful, but I really don’t need another coat! Maybe if they go on sale at the end of the season…

Ashley, I really thought I was going crazy! Your comment confirmed that I did see the Tulip in violet at my local store recently. I was thinking that the color was beautiful. However, the coat is not available in that color online. How odd!
