The Beaded Zebra Graphic Tee from J.Crew

http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/135/thumbs/7271689735_b.jpgIn the post, “My Favorite J.Crew Spring Looks,” I wrote about how I am excited for the new arrivals at J.Crew. They are viewable in the Spring Look Book.

I especially love the zebra tee that can be seen peeking out from under the model’s jacket in this picture.

The zebra tee is available to order online.  However, it is only available in the bright orange color online. I wonder why that is the case.

While visiting my local J.Crew store this weekend, I saw the tee in the gray color as featured on the model, but did not see the orange version.

The zebra tee in gray was so cute. I love the sequins on it! I picked it up in the small, (sizing up from my usual size) as I found that it did run small.

How did it fit? Do you love it? How much does it cost?

    Thanks!

Hi Jennie. The tee is $68 and runs small. I usually wear in XS in J.Crew tees and I sized up to a S in this one. The sequin detailing is very exquisite on the tee. I can post another photo if you are interested. Thanks!

I also purchased this tee at the collection store in nyc last week. It’s really adorable. Leigh do you plan on dry cleaning yours or hand washing?

  4. Leigh says:

Hi Jennie, I have added new photos to the post. One shows the extra sequins that come with the tee. The other show the sequin detailing up close.

Hi Kristin, I hadn’t really thought about how I was going to take care of the tee so you bring up a good question. I think I will be dry cleaning this one. I put more faith in my local dry cleaners that my hand washing abilities.

I like this version of the tee, although what is up with the poor zebra not having any nostrils?

Omigosh! I am glad I am not the only one who loves this shirt.

I’ve been thinking about shelling out the moolah to purchase this one… but haven’t quite taken the plunge yet.

    I adore this shirt…

    Hi Leigh!
I picked up the grey version yesterday and LOVE it. I had to size up too. I used my $50 in Spring rewards to buy it. Also picked up the bleached chambray “perfect shirt” and haven’t taken it off since ($78, style # 13184 – not online yet and they were almost sold out at Georgetown because all the SA’s were snapping it up). It’s like the perfect worn in boyfriend shirt. :)

On the flip side, there was an olive green cargo jacket that looked SO CUTE on the mannequin but it has HUGE shoulders in real life. Even the XS was too wide for my size 6 frame. All in all I’m pleased with the spring offerings :)

Hey Bellwether, would you like to review that shirt for my blog. Email with pics and a review if you are interested. Thanks!

I tried on the zebra tee as well – and yes, definitely sized up! I didn’t get it because it just wasn’t WOW on me. And for $68, I feel like it should rock my world. Biggest problem was the color – it just wasn’t THAT great on me. I actually chose the broadcloth scalloped shell instead – that one was perfect!

    maybe on sale (yeah, right!!)

Hey Heidi! I tried on the broadcloth scalloped shell, too. The loved the detailing at the neckline. (I tried it on in white and it was slightly sheer.) Which color did you pick up?

I would love for you to review for the blog! Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

I went to the store today and decided to try on the zebra tee and I LOVED it! It’s super cute on and I decided to stay with my normal size because I liked how fitted it was. It looks great with the ruffle trench – as in the Spring Lookbook. The khaki and grey colors work together really well.

  13. Leigh says:

Jennie, isn’t the sequin detailing exquisite on the tee? I can’t wait to wear mine!

  14. Jennie says:

The zebra is just so adorable on this shirt and the beading really is special. Once you see the beading, you can understand the higher cost for this tee. But, in my opinion, it’s worth it! And I like it better than the infamous chiffon rose tee!

I just bought this zebra tea in a Medium. Its totally cute ! Its worth 68 bucks.
I saw some on ebay for 150 bucks $(^%$%^&^% ??
There is one small left in the store. Let me know if anyone is interested so I can give the phone number

    Hi Amy,
I’d love a small! Which store is it that has one left?
    Thanks,

    Connie
