Lawrence Knit Dress – City Length

I am very picky about dresses because they never seem to fully fit me. They are usually baggy in the chest, too snug around the waist or too full in the hips. It is ALWAYS something.

But this weekend, I stopped in JCrew to look for a new summer dress and found a perfect one on sale. The Lawrence Knit Dress is perfect! It has a scoop neck and empire waist and a “city length,” which hits just at the knee. It is breezy, comfortable and flattering on the waist, chest and stomach. The perfect combo. And it’s casual/dressy enough for work and weekends. Another combo I like.

My only complaint is that it only came in two colors: burnt orange and chocolate brown. If JCrew had it in more colors, I easily would have purchased another one to hold on to for summer. In the end, I purchased the dress in chocolate brown and I can’t wait to accessorize it with sandals and jewelry this summer. I’m already wishing for warm weather!

Argyle trouser socks, $9.50, Item 13656

I am officially addicted to JCrew argyle socks. I have four pairs (that I can find) and every time I go into the store I always look for new ones. Why am I addicted to argyle? I have no idea. I think it’s hereditary because dad loves it too.

But I love the JCrew socks because they are warm but thin enough to fit easily into my shoes and they are comfy enough to wear all day, especially on the legs. Some of my cotton socks itch the legs, but not these.

Plus, as per usual, I love JCrew’s bold color choices so the argyle socks let me mingle colors together I might not normally consider and give a pop of color where needed.
