I have the Starlet jacket in blue and love it! Really pretty and fun with the buttons….I would not wear either of the other two items though…not my style, esp. the coat for me is a leave it…

I ordered the dream sash cardigan during the sale and can’t wait to have it. Also, the store this weekend, had 40% off sale items, I couldn’t believe I found the rings rollneck dress for $35. I was eyeing it in the catalog but didn’t think I would find it for this price.

Ann, how does the Starlet Jacket fit? I have been considering buying it but have been hesitating for I was worried that the tie belt would cause the jacket to ride up during the day. Also, what are you wearing with this jacket? I work in an office and have to dress-up somewhat and I was a little confused as to what I would wear the jacket with. I would love to hear your thoughts on the fit as well as outfit coordination. Thanks Ann.

Karen, I wear mine just like the model….really casually with a gray tank and jeans (not ripped). However, I think you could easily dress it up. It fits me exactly how it looks on the model…you can see the bit of extra fabric that the belt gathers in…I am tall though at almost 5′10″. I really like the cap sleeves and the lining is so silky…for fall I will probably put a 3/4 length tissue tee under it??? I don’t know yet…..but I do think it could easily be dressed up with a nice pair of pants….or solid color skirt. I have the gary wool pants and the skirt with the silver flecks from JCrew holiday 2007 and I am thinking these would look great together…..I don’t find the jacket rides up on me during the day but I am smaller busted (36 A) with what I consider a larger waist for my size… but, well, maybe it’s that middle age spread! Ha ha. ( I am 39). Anyway, I hope this helps a bit…..Anymore questions, just ask:)

Hey Karen, I actually wore this jacket in the pink to work last week. The jacket does run a little bit larger, but I think it is meant to fit that way. My office is relatively casual so I wore this with black pants that look similar to the Matchstick jeans from J.Crew. They were ankle pants and I threw on some nice black flip flops.
I wore a white camisole underneath and tied the jacket like how the model in the photo is wearing it. The jacket did not ride up at all during the day. I was able to move very freely. I love that it is short sleeved and does not look like a jacket that you can only wear outdoors. It doesn’t look like something that is meant to be taken off once indoors but I just decided to keep it on. It is after all, short sleeved.
Like Ann said, the lining is very nice. I think it is satin and the material is very substantial yet lightweight at the same time.
I highly recommend this jacket. It’s a great piece and I got so many compliments on the beautiful buttons. I can’t wait to wear it to many holiday parties.

I paired mine with a thin turtleneck sweater this morning and gray pants and it looks nice…it is only getting to 57 here today.

Ann and Leigh, Thanks for both of your help on this jacket. I simply love it. It’s so very cute and like Ann said, I think it would still look very cute with 3/4 length sleeves underneath. I am off to order this jacket.

Karen, let us know how you love it! I am sure you will. The buttons are so gorgeous in person!
