From now until Sunday, all J.Crew stores will be having an additional 50% off all sale items!
Many readers have already told me about this, but I have yet to see it firsthand. I am planning a trip to J.Crew this weekend. Usually, the sale section is picked over but I will see what I can find.
What sale items have you found? Were there super amazing deals?
Happy Shopping this weekend!!

I visited the J. Crew in Charleston, SC yesterday: the selection was really picked over. I didn’t find anything worth buying.
But there are still some good things online!
November 7th, 2008 - 8:36 pm
Too bad, the online sale items are only 30% off. I am going to check my local store tomorrow and will report back.

Poor Bridget, because here in DC, at the Georgetown boutique, I scored a new purse ($55), gorgeous Juliet heels ($40), a bauble bracelet, three pairs of matchstick cords ($20 each) and a magic wallet ($10). It was the best J.Crew sale I’ve ever hit.
November 8th, 2008 - 9:26 am
There is also a promotion w/the velvet Ecole blazers being on promotion for $99. Tricky finding your size, since many stores don’t have a big selection left.

I hit up one of my local B&M yesterday afternoon in my daily business travels (Britton Lake near Chadds Ford, PA). Wow…did I make out like a bandit. Sale was awesome…got tons of Holiday shopping done. I got my husband a fleece lined zip hoodie for 25 bucks, scarves, and a few cute small leather goods and jewelery as gifts for friends…I picked up a pair of the high heel flare jeans for 15 bucks!!! (I have two pairs and love them). I got 600 dollars worth of stuff marked down to 269 and then with the 50% off sale, I got it all for 136 dollars!!! WOW!!! I also recieved the new catalogue and my favorite sales associate helped me order the new Tissue Sequin Tank in black and the Wool Jersey Satin Trim Tank in Dark Fog. I will post reviews of these items. The SA who helped me recommended that I order a size down because they run big. This location (which is about 40 minutes from Philadelphia) had a huge selection of sizes.
November 8th, 2008 - 10:07 am
That last comment should have been …..a huge selection of sizes in the sale section…even smaller sizes 0-6…usually there are only larges and 10-14’s left.

Wow Jorda! You really made out! I am so excited for you. I am headed to the Ardmore location and King of Prussia store today. Unfortunately, these stores never have much sale because they always ship it out to other stores, but they do get the new arrivals earlier than most stores. Still, those deals you got are amazing!
November 8th, 2008 - 11:54 am
I stopped by the Burlington MA store yesterday and the sale was REALLY picked over. But I did well with the items on promotion (tissue turtlenecks, merino button cuff cardi, boatneck city t).
The only problem: no cashmere in sight!
November 8th, 2008 - 12:21 pm
What does B&M stand for? I see it on a lot of the J Crew blogs. Thanks.
November 8th, 2008 - 12:22 pm
Mena, does your store not carry the cashmere items? If there a particular item, you are looking for, call the King of Prussia store in PA. They have lots of cashmere and can ship the items to you.
November 8th, 2008 - 12:23 pm
Kim, B&M stands for brick and mortar. It refers to an actual, physical store rather than just an online retailer. I hope that helps you!
November 8th, 2008 - 12:50 pm
Thank you Leigh!!! Love your blog.
November 8th, 2008 - 12:52 pm
Leigh. If you aren’t familiar w/it, another great website for blogs is Purseblog.com. I am a bagaholic. Check it out if you haven’t been on it. The Deals & Steals will keep you in the loop on all the latest codes/deals.
November 8th, 2008 - 1:05 pm
Thanks Kim! I will definitely check that site out. It’s a rainy day here so I have plenty of time to surf the internet.
November 8th, 2008 - 2:01 pm
Leigh. If you like to get your makeup, perfume, etc.. with a discount… Sephora is having Friend & Family. 20% off and free shipping if you spend $50. If you go through Ebates, you get an additional 8% back. FF2008 is the code. It is good until 11/12th. Can only be used online and they carry everything!!
November 8th, 2008 - 2:03 pm
Thanks Kim! Can you tell me what Ebates is? I am not familiar with that.
November 8th, 2008 - 2:03 pm
One more thing I forgot to mention. When you go to purseblog.com - the purse forum has all the blogs.
November 8th, 2008 - 2:15 pm
If you sign up for ebates (www.ebates.com) and go through them to the various website they will refund you a % of your purchase. I think J Crew is 3%, Sephora is 8%. They advertise the sales/promtions for hundreds of online retailers. They usually have a promotion to sign up and they will give you a gc. This past year, since I do a lot of online shopping, I think I received a check for around $200. Almost every retalier is offered (Zappos, NM, Gap, Ann Taylor, BR, etc…). Send me your email and I can forward you info.
November 8th, 2008 - 2:16 pm
Kim, my email is leigh @ jcrewaholics.com. Thanks so much!!
November 8th, 2008 - 2:20 pm
I just sent you the letter/link. You had sent me an email a few days ago & I still had it.
November 8th, 2008 - 2:32 pm
Thanks Kim! How does Ebates work if you return the item you purchased?
November 8th, 2008 - 3:03 pm
I also hit up the Georgetown store this morning and I picked up Lydia solid blouses in ivory, plum, and orange; favorite fit chinos in marigold and rhubarb; cashmere femme sweaters in wheat and honey glaze; and an orange cardigan with ruffles (I don’t know the name).
November 8th, 2008 - 3:21 pm
Leigh. If you return an item, I believe they take back your rebate. The rebate check is mailed out every 3 months.
November 8th, 2008 - 9:54 pm
At the Scottsdale store there was not much on the sale. I ended up getting another graphic tee - the snowflake one. I love it!
Also - I picked up the perfect fit flower tee and ended up moving the smaller flower over to the left side of the big flower. A cardigan will lay better that way, I am really pleased with it.
November 8th, 2008 - 10:13 pm
Kate, what does the snowflake tee look like? Would you mind sending me a picture?
November 8th, 2008 - 10:38 pm
Just sent you over the picture of the snowflake tee. It is a silvery grey with a white/ivory stain snowflake.
November 8th, 2008 - 10:42 pm
Thanks so much, Kate. That was so nice of you. Do you mind if I use that photo in a future post about new arrivals?
November 9th, 2008 - 2:21 am
Hi, I’m an associate in San Francisco and I just wanted to commend all of you that went out to the stores today! I know it was crazy around my store, and I wanted to apologize for the constant mess! Thank you all for being so patient and polite with the associates at each of your stores. Keep in mind also that orders placed through the Red Phone in-store count as online purchases sort of, so the 30% discount applies.
Good luck tomorrow if you didn’t make it out today! This will probably be one of the last big J Crew sales in a while from what I hear.
November 9th, 2008 - 8:18 am
You are welcome to use the picture of the snowflake tee.
November 9th, 2008 - 10:43 am
Well I broke a record
- for the least amount spent in one day - I bought three belts…the grosgrain ribbon ones in black and grey with the square crystals on them in grey and black, and one more chiffon flower one since I’ve been really liking and wearing the two I already bought on sale. I spent $16 total… They do have some cute new graphic tees incl the snowflake one above, but I held off since I think there will be more with the rollout on Monday…I am going to call a couple of big stores today where they know me and double check there are none of the cashmere pieces I am interested in in XS left at extra 50%, but otherwise I am over the sale stuff and waiting for the new things….Hope everyone who goes shopping today does well….
November 9th, 2008 - 12:07 pm
Hi Leigh,
Thanks so much for the cashmere tip. My store usually carries it but no luck on Friday.
BTW, I bought the Uptown tote through the website yesterday. Does anyone have it? It looks like a great carryall.
I’m glad that you all did so well at the sale!
November 9th, 2008 - 12:57 pm
I am headed to J.Crew now and will definitely report back on what I find.
November 9th, 2008 - 4:41 pm
I just came back from my local J.Crew store and there was nothing worth buying on sale. I tried to convince myself to like some of the stuff but there wasn’t anything. And the men’s section was full of XL stuff; there was nothing that my boyfriend would like or fit.
November 9th, 2008 - 9:39 pm
Ours had nothingggggg left by this afternoon. :-/ I resolved before I went in that I wouldn’t buy anything just bc it was on sale. I tried a few things on but nothing wowed me so I left emptyhanded. Arrrgghhh.
November 9th, 2008 - 9:47 pm
I went into the store with the same mentality so I left empty handed, too. My personal shopper did they that all the new stuff would be out this week.
