I went to the sample last night purchased gorgeous T-strap shoes in blue velvet for $99 and a cashmere tee in white for $50. The sale had a great selection of shoes. There was also a nice selection of sweaters. The bag section looked pretty sad. It consisted mostly of canvas bags with a few clutches here and there. Today is the last day. Definitely stop by if you have a chance.

I propose a J.Crew sample sale “Road Show”! Management would be smart to select several major cities each year instead of sticking to NY; do you realize all the J.Crew junkies that would love to attend the sale. Marketing!!!!! Start with the Midwest; Ohio, Indiana, Illinois.

Arrived around 12:15 waited on line 10 mins or less, spent about an hour and a half.Went in search of Babette feather peep toes from last year,no luck today,the staff was much friendlier this time around, even offered to keep an eye out and call me if any showed up.Instead snagged the Montebello leather driving mocs $65 in silver and Strada ruffle cardigan $40, There were some awsome wellies for $25 put them down in search of a larger size, before trying them on and they were gone when I returned forgot they run big…. showed much restraint in not buying any of the wide selection of heels, was hoping they’d restock before I left, at $99 I’ll check back on Friday, still holding out and hoping for the Babettes, have matching pocketbook and belt in my closet waiting patiently to be worn.

This one was a bit different. Good selection of men’s (& women’s) shoes. Red Wing boots for $200. Their own stuff for way under retail. Mostly outerwear, blazers, and sweaters for men. I picked up the British Millerain Oilcloth jacket for $40. $40!!! This retails for $198. Great deal in any book!

Just got back from the ss and purchased Hunter boots size US 9 in green for $70. Well worth it!
