   Has anyone ever been to one of these before? I live in Nj and I will SO be going to this! It falls right after my midterms so I’ll need to recuperate with some shopping. Is it worth going to, does anyone know? It looks promising.

   I have actually never heard of a J.Crew sample sale. I will be emailing them to get more information. I am excited about this, too!

   I think this is the first sample sale open to the public.

   I doubt SSS or J.Crew will acknowledge your email, unfortunately! Most companies like to pretend they don’t even have sample sales. I have been to ones at SSS and others in the past, I would guess they will have fall/holiday 08 merchandise, all sizes, not necessarily “samples” so much as overstock. And be prepared to wait in line to get in!

   I’ve been to samples sales at this location in NYC. They always have great stuff. I would think the j.crew would be just the same.

    J.Crew, back in the day, used to have sample sales. They had employee only sales and then one day when those employees could give a ticket to their families.

    It will be madness.

    I emailed Clothing Line and received the following response.

    Hey Leigh,

    Thanks for your interest in posting our sale. However, as per our contract
    with J. Crew, the only info we are able to give out, is posted on our website.
    I think as the sale gets closer, they will give us more info to post.

    My husband and I will just happen to be in NY (close to NYC) to visit family during this sale! What luck! I’m trying to figure out when to venture into the city for this …. first day for more selection OR second or third day for better deals … hmmm. Also, I wonder if we need to get there early before the sale starts to stand in line? I wish I knew someone who was proficient at shopping sample sales who could give some advice! If there are lines outside, I hope it’s not 10 degrees and windy like it was the last January we went into the city!
