Rarities at J.Crew

It seems that many items from J.Crew are selling out quickly.  I am very surprised as many of these items have higher prices points.  Here are some things that never even made it to my shopping bag.

Goodness, I should really considering buying things before they are SOLD OUT!

    I really like the chiffon rose tee but it’s more then I wanted to spend. It is however readily available at my local JCrew.

    I love this tee-shirt as well. By the time I got around to part with my money (for it’s a lot more than what I wanted to spend on a TEE SHIRT), it was completely sold out online. I ended up using the “We will find it for you” service and J Crew found it in LA for me. I am getting it in the Sea Salt in a size Medium. I normally wear a small but had read that it’s best to size up. I haven’t receive it yet. It takes ages for anything to be shipped to Canada. I can’t wait to get it!

    Leigh, you might want to try the “We will find it for you service”. This tee shirt comes in 3 colorways – Black with white rose, Sea Salt with black rose and champagne with brown rose. Since I was so desperate for it, I asked for one in each color in a size Medium and they found the sea salt. Everything else was sold out. That was a couple of weeks ago. They may have had some returns. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    Karen, I had no idea that the shirt came in 3 colorways! Thanks for letting me know. You’ll have to report back how much love you it when you do received it there in Canada.

    I saw this tee in person and thought it was way over priced for what you get…a dry clean t-shirt with frayed ribbon….definitely a pass for me….I don’t know what all the hype is about but to each his own….not worth the high price tag. A friend of mine got one and returned it b/c it was fraying too much for her…

    I am lucky that my PS recommended it to me because I might not have noticed it either. I love it. Sure it costs $55 but I have gotten tons of wear and compliments. I currently wear it under the honey glaze dream long v-neck cardigan.

    I also plan to wear it with my astrid jacket! OH and I even got a compliment from my boyfriend the first time I wore it and that’s big. ;) Don’t get me wrong he is attentive but somethings look the same to him when I wear them under things. ahaha.

    Do you think the run on these items is coming from wealthier shoppers “stepping down” from pricier labels?

    Or maybe tighter inventory management?

    Hi Raina, I spoke with a customer service rep who told me that not many of the tees were made because they wanted it to be a limited edition item. If I see anyone walking around with it on in Philadelphia, I will be so upset!

    Allison, you are so super lucky! I am just envisioning you in your tee and looking gorgeous. I love that you were wearing it while posting your comment.

    It would look great under neath the Astrid jacket. What color do you have it in?

    And I love that your boyfriend complimented you when you first wore the tee. My boyfriend is not attentive and DOES NOT notice things like that. I have to show him this blog and maybe he will compliment me when I wear it.
