J.Crew Website Down

 

I have been trying to access J.Crew’s website for the last 30 minutes and it will not load. Seems they are using Saturday morning to fix up some glitches. Good for them.

Update: The website is back up and running as of noon today, eastern time.

    I know. I tried to check out the sale and got that message, but it seems that it is back up and running now.

    Only “some glitches”???? This problem has been going on far too long, with MANY problems going back to customers not receiving orders, but charged 3 time on their J Crew credit card, etc. NOT GOOD. I would not order online any time soon.

    Hi. I am new to your site. Have been a J. Crew fan for years. I don’t know what is going on over there but it sucks. I ordered some stuff on their website 2 weeks ago and everything came but one pair of shoes. I called, they said they missed them and would ship them again. They never came so I called and they said they had no tracking # for UPS and they were travelling around the country on some UPS truck. So they sent me another pair overnight. Except then I get an e-mail that THAT order was cancelled. So I called again and spent 52 minutes on the phone WITH a customer service rep while she walked through everything. It was torture. She’s sending them out again overnight except the overnight slots for Monday are gone so they will go overnight on Tuesday. Not only has this all been ridiculous but I have had to call 4x and I’m rather sure the shoes wont ever come. I got 30% off my shoes for my trouble but it doesn’t feel like enough. I’m sure everyone who reads this blog and clearly who runs it are big customers. I know I spend tons of $ there so they’d better get it straight and be nice to me. This is getting ridiculous.

    Hi Buffy. I have experienced some problems, too. I placed some orders where I did not receive all the items on the order but the packing slip had the full order total on it. Luckily, the order was placed on my J.Crew card. I spent 40 minutes on the phone today with the customer service rep who was also talking to the credit card people to see if I was charged for the items. They needed to see if I should place a new order or if they had to overnight the items that I was already charged for. The customer service rep was super nice and efficient so I could not be upset. I told her to take her time to get it all sorted out. She apologized endlessly and I told her that I was in no rush as long as the orders were sorted out. I understand they are going through a lot.

    Wow Caroline. I can’t believe you had to call 4 times before you got everything all sorted out. That was really nice of them to give you a discount on the shoes. I would suggest getting a personal shopper to handle your orders. It’s very convenient. They handle all of the ordering and can help you to track your packages. They are super helpful. My personal shopper at J.Crew has my email address. I write him often. I highly suggest it.

    Hi Leigh, thanks for the info. I’ll consider a personal shopper but So many of the styles lately have been bumming me out so my pruchasing has really dropped off. I hate all the high-wasted stuff, it doesn’t look well on me at all. And the boxier fit jacket, too – icky on me. We’ll see if the shoes ever come!

    Keep me posted on the shoes! They are cute. I am always hesitant to order J.Crew shoes because I have found that the sizing is not very consistent.

    I have been trying to access J.Crew website all day 1/17/09 and it keeps coming up with an error code…what is this? Can’t even view the site. I can view everything else on the Internet. Is anyone else having this problem? Very frustrating!!!

    I have gotten that error code the last two days!? I just get a blank screen with an error code. BOO. I needed something and ended up getting it somewhere else. That website is the worst.

    It’s funny I called to J.Crew to tell them about the website being down and within 5 minutes of getting off the phone, the website came back up. I should have called when I first say the problem, but I prefer to order online. It usually takes forever to order over the phone.
