The Fontaine gone is nearly sold out, with the size 4 and 6 being the only sizes available to purchase. The dress debuted online on July 25th and I wrote about how excited I was to purchase it.
I did finally receive the dress from J.Crew and it is absolutely stunning. It came in a beautiful box with lots of tissue paper and a garment bag and special bridal hanger.
The bodice of the Fontaine gown is so simple and is nicely accented by the tulle skirt. The back of the dress mimics the neckline of the front of the dress. There is a zipper that is covered with beautiful buttons.
I am a relatively short and petite girl so the dress would need to be hemmed. I would have to do away with the last layer of tulle completely. The bodice is very form fitting so I would suggest ordering a size up. I usually wear a 0 in J.Crew and I took a size 2 in this dress. The straps would have to be taken in a little bit, too. Those are the minor alterations that would need to be made.

Hi 3carmelitos: I will post them this week, probably on Thursday. It will not look that great as the dress does require the alterations I mentioned in the post. But I would love to post them to the blog!

Hi! I too LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fontaine dress. So much that i ordered it for a photoshoot. It’s been worn only once. Anyone interested in purchasing a size 6 at a discount price?
