For those who are newly engaged and seeking the perfect dress from J.Crew, here is a preview of the Spring 2009 Bridal Collection. These styles are great for a spring garden or summer beach wedding.

Thank you so much for sharing this! As a future bride who loves J.Crew, I fell in love with the Lucinda gown and was dismayed at how quickly it sold out. Knowing what’s coming out next year definitely will work in my favor!

Leigh, I saw the Lucinda gown in the online catalog. It’s not there anymore. I loved it but am not sure if it’s for me – I am on the petite side and I think it’s full ball skirt might have drowned me. And when I saw the Daphne dress you posted, I was so wow’ed! I wish that was for this season rather than a few seasons ago.
I haven’t gotten the fall catalog yet so it was great to see your post, by the way.

I know, I love the Daphne dress, too. When it was first introduced, I almost wished I were getting married just so I could wear it.

What a great site! I absolutely ADORE the Daphne gown and had the good fortune to snag one before they all sold out! It is even more stunning in person and has these wonderful hidden side pockets! I have yet to wear it since the possibility exists I might elope, but I will always know this dress was the “ONE”!

I love the Lucinda Gown, and I´ve seen many good coments in the web about the dress, may people whants it, why don´t you make more of this beatuiful dress. I´m sure you will sell all of them.

Just in case anyone is interested, the Daphne dress in a size 0 is available at the J.Crew sample sale. I am not sure of the condition of the dress, but it was $399.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows how the Sophia long dress sizes – does it run bigger or smaller? I’m 5′3″, 100 lbs, 32C, and I usually fit into 0P or 00P clothing, but I was told that if your cup size is larger than B, I should go a size higher. Did anyone purchase the Sophia and have any insights into this? Thanks!

Hi,
The dress is brand new. It was tried on 1 time and since has been kept in the original box in excellent condition. It comes with bag (to hang the dress up in), box and bow. If the dress does not sell by this Wednesday I am going to be posting it on ebay for 2250.00 (I paid full price). For 2,100.00 (plus shipping and handling) I will sell it to you now. It is reduced from the online site (plus no tax). I will need to go to the post office to see how much shipping would be.

Has anyone seen/tried on/bought the Erica gown? I love it, but I’m a little worried that I can’t try it on before buying it. I can’t find any reviews on it. the Erica dress seems VERY popular though. Maybe I will go and try that on and get an idea of the sizing, etc…? I’m loving the jcrew gowns. I also LOVE the Lucinda gown, but $2500 is way out of my price range.

Help! I have tried on countless gowns in search of the perfect one, and I was about to settle for one when I saw that J. Crew makes wedding dresses! I am VERY worried about purchasing a dress before trying it on, but I am interested in the Cotton Cady Erica gown and also like the Whitney long dress. woah, I had no idea that my dream-dress (the Daphne) had such a following! I also had no idea that it was from the 2007 collection, so thanks for the info…I randomly found a photo of it about 8 months ago and have been mentally designing my entire (currently fictional) wedding around it. it’s perfect for me!
I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that whenever I’m ready to make such a purchase, I’ll be able to find one.

Does anyone know if they’re going to offer more of the ivory feather chiffon gown? I fell in love with it but it is already sold out on their website! When will they release their new line for fall? Lex – check out eBay for the dress you want. It isn’t how I imagined buying my wedding dress and I wasn’t particularly on a budget, but I bought the ivory Sophia dress in long size 6p from a woman who had purchased it as her alternate gown, just incase she didn’t loose the weight she planned on loosing before her wedding ( I wont get into how insane that is, since 6P is large to begin with). Anyway, she must have fit into the other gown because she posted this one on eBay brand new, spotless with the tags still on it and I purchased it for $109 !!! It is BEAUTIFUL! I didn’t even need to alter it, it fits like it was made for me. Note: I’ve found that J Crew wedding dresses run pretty true to size. I’m generally a size 4 at J Crew for shorter gowns so I went with 6P for this and it was perfect in every way.

I just bought the feathered chiffon dress in size 10 on ebay a couple of weeks ago. It was about 50% the retail price. I was recently in NYC and tried on a bunch of dresses at the J Crew store at 30 Rock. This gave me an idea of what I liked and what the dresses looked and felt like so I could spot a fake. Then I searched on Ebay and asked the seller a couple of questions about alterations and marks. The seller said the dress was not altered and no marks. I also made sure I could return the dress if I was not satisfied and get a full refund. The dress arrived in a week. The dress was the same I tried on. The only difference was the label had been struck through. And course, no garment bag and white box with a blue ribbon. I’m definitely satisfied and saved money.

Thanks for the tips! Since I live in the NYC area, I actually checked out the J Crew sample sale this summer. They had a surprisingly large selection of wedding gowns. The fancier dresses were going for $399 (which in some cases was not a good deal since the price was lower for a brand new dress on the JCrew website. Good thing I had my iPhone to compare prices). The last day, they reduced the gown prices to $299. I actually bought a long Sophia dress for $90, as this was considered a “special occasion” dress (all long silk dresses were at that price point, and the $90 included tax). I also picked up a few bridesmaid dresses for $60 each, which were selling on jcrew.com for $99. I’d recommend the sample sale for those of you who can wait until next summer to pick up a dress. Not sure, but I think it’s a once a year event. One thing to note is that the dresses ran very small; I think some of them may have been altered since they were samples. Fortunately, they let you try on the special occasion dresses.

How about I saw the Lucinda dress and fell in love with it. I saw it featured on ‘Say Yes to the Dress.’ I totally want to buy the dress! I need to try it on though (as I am shaped oddly). I don’t know if I need a 6 or an 8.
Also, I’m not thrilled with the $2500 price tag. But the dress fits perfectly with my simple and elegant wedding theme! Love, love, love the pockets!

Lucinda Gown for sale for 1699 plus shipping (have to charge shipping because the box is large and on the heavier side). This has been greatly reduced. I am also including a cute flower sash absolutely free. The flower can be removed and used as a hair clip. Great dress that you can do a lot with. Don’t miss out!

It IS from the Fall 2006 collection, so doubtless it’s discontinued. However, as many of you know, finding the perfect wedding dress is quite a pilgrimage, and I see the end of my pilgrame in this dress. So, I’m quite keen on getting my hands on it. I’m willing to gather as many pictures as I can and have someone attempt to make it, but first I’d like to try to get an original. As brides.com has so kindly decided to leave out the dress name or number, I have no idea what to search for. “Romantic goddess” is just a nickname brides.com gives it to make it part of one of their themed collections. So …if anyone has any sort of information, even just the name, PLEASE.

I just ordered the Heirloom organza dress from J crew (to Canada!). I love it! But since I have not tried on the “Sacsha” I was wondering if anyone else has and can compare them for me? I love my dress but I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried both?
PS I have searched high and low and can’t find one “real bride” that wore the Heirloom organza and I can’t understand why!
