I really do think that J.Crew brides would jump right on it. This dress as well and was unable to find one so I had one similar made for me.

That J.Crew is very much aware of the demand for this gown and how much brides covet it. Your dress embodies the holy trinity of wedding gowns. Thank you.

Hi lovely brides-to-be!

With the Daphne dress being so rare in the world, I have made the similar Vogue V2979 pattern for two different friend's weddings. (The main difference being the sash, and the fuller skirt, but my Daphne obsessed friends loved their dresses!) I altered them to each of their tastes, and have included links to some pics below.

I am located in CT, and would love to make any of you a Daphne-esque dress for your wedding day!
 http://www.channingjohnsonblog.com/2010/07/crane-...
(This dress has a lace overlay on the bodice, and same color silk sash.)
 http://gallery.me.com/tisola/100166
(This dress has no sleeves, and a bright floral sash!)

Hope all your planning is going well!

I also used the Daphne dress as an inspiration for my wedding dress.
My friend sewed it, my grandma crocheted the collar, and it was perfect for me!!!
I am really happy I chosed this dress: quite simple but elegance, classic but pretty, and in the same time it was comfortable: I was able to move, dance etc.

I have a size 2 JCrew Daphne wedding dress which I will be selling after my wedding in August 2011. Just an FYI---I'm usually a size 4 JCrew and the 2 fits me perfectly. A little far in advance, but I would be willing to reserve it for anyone who knows they will need it. It is really a gorgeous dress and incredibly comfortable. aph 2 np @ virginia dot edu
